Rick House – Owner

I was fortunate, early in my career, to find a job I love. I feel I have not worked a day in my life since I founded RMN some 30 years ago. It is additionally gratifying to have surrounded myself with an enthusiastic and highly competent team of mortgage professionals who are committed to the customers we serve, and who share my vision to provide home financing.

I originally founded Residential Mortgage Network, Inc. to provide competitive, efficient government financing through VA, Rural Development and FHA lending. I am proud to say we accomplished that and have kept these loan programs, as well as conventional lending, strong in the State of Iowa. We make the process even more efficient since we are approved to underwrite all government loan products. We can close an FHA, VA or RD loan in 2 weeks. Clearly a win, win, win for all!

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jill, as well as our 3 grown children and their families, which include a total of 13 grandchildren.

Jessica is passionate about guiding her clients through every step of the mortgage process by offering honest advice, prompt communication, and unwavering support – both during and after closing. Her greatest professional joy is helping generations of families buy homes. She takes pride in her deep knowledge of all loan programs, including Conventional, USDA Rural Development, VA, and FHA, ensuring she can find the right solution for every buyer.

Starting her career at just 23, Jessica has spent over two decades helping thousands of Iowans make their homeownership dreams a reality. Whether you’re purchasing your first home, upgrading to your fifth, or refinancing for a better rate or cashing out your home’s equity, Jessica has the expertise and options to help you succeed.

Jessica’s dedication to excellence is evident in her accomplishments. She has been a member of the IMA President’s Club for outstanding production since early in her career and holds the prestigious Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association – a title held by fewer than 10 individuals in Iowa. As an Iowa Finance Authority Preferred Lender, she has helped hundreds of families access First-Time Home Buyer programs and achieve the dream of homeownership.

As an Iowa City native, Jessica is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) and has remained loyal to her career at Residential Mortgage Network since the day she started. Today, she lives in Iowa City with her husband, Eric, where they have raised their four daughters: Samantha, Allison, Isabel, and Ruby. Her daughters’ accomplishments are a source of great pride – from Samantha’s success as an accountant/auditor in West Des Moines to Ally’s nursing studies at Mt. Mercy, Izzy’s rowing career at Clemson University, and Ruby’s academic and athletic pursuits at Regina High School.

When she’s not helping clients, you can find Jessica and her family enjoying all things water at Holiday Lake in Brooklyn, Iowa. With her girls mostly grown, her yippy (but lovable) dogs, Bella and Tommy, now keep her company at home.

April Holden – Loan Officer

April first joined RMN in 2011 in Project Management and Regulatory Compliance, but that doesn’t mean she’s all numbers and rules! April then became a licensed Loan Officer in 2013. Prior to working at RMN, April worked at several manufacturing facilities and has experience in the grueling corporate world doing finance and operations management.

April loves the fact that RMN is an Independent Mortgage Bank – a family owned local business that truly prides itself on offering the best fixed rate options to home buyers.

April is patient and efficient – always willing to walk home buyers at any stage through the entire process. April has lived in Iowa, Washington, Wisconsin, Utah and loves being back in Iowa. Having moved several times, she is familiar with the stress and excitement that goes along with a home search and loan approval process. Whether you are a buyer with no money down or 20% down, you are worthy of great attention and competitive products. April is well versed in the advantages of Conventional, Rural Development (USDA), VA and FHA lending options.

April lives in Iowa City with her husband, Daniel, their two children, Laird and Nadia, her father in law, Palmer and their wirehaired pointing griffon – Cocoa.

They all enjoy soccer, biking, running, cooking and Manchester United!

Cameron Touro

Cam joined RMN in January 2020 as a Mortgage Production Analyst. He graduated in December 2018 from the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Real Estate and Finance. In the fall of 2022, Cam became a licensed Loan Officer in the state of Iowa and as of January 2024, is now working as an Originator out of our Cedar Rapids location.

During his time at RMN, Cam has consistently been impressed by how well a local company like ours can provide excellent financing options with a super-efficient process and outstanding customer service to the entire state of Iowa. It’s an office that genuinely cares about making the process smooth and offering great loan products!

Cam lives in Atkins with his wife, Kelsey, and their dog, Nellie. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting with Nellie, and watching the Hawks.

Emily Scott

Emily joined Residential Mortgage Network in early 2022 as a Mortgage Production Analyst. She had worked in customer service for over 20 years and was ready to pursue a new career of helping people through an exciting time of their lives.  It was a nice coincidence that RMN had been her lender of choice when financing her own home!

Emily enjoys working closely with such a dedicated and supportive team that always puts the client first and being well versed in so many loan program options (Conventional, VA, RD, FHA and First Time Home Buyer programs).

Emily lives in North Liberty with her husband Ben and son Teddy. They enjoy going on walks, grilling out, and playing Yahtzee. Teddy’s favorite weekend activity is visiting family and being doted on.

Erica Young

Erica joined Residential Mortgage Network in July 2019. Prior to joining the RMN team, she worked in Financial Services for 14 years.

Erica enjoys the close-knit, fast paced office environment of RMN. She likes putting all the pieces together to make sure your loan gets approved and closes on time.

Erica lives in Cosgrove and enjoys family time with her husband Brian and daughter Kaylee. She also enjoys gardening, horseback riding, and catching some of her husband’s rodeos during the summer.

Kaylyn Scheinblum

Kaylyn comes to RMN with several years of assorted real estate experience from appraisal management to loan processing. She also has an extensive background in customer service. Kaylyn considers herself a jack of all trades.

Kaylyn assists in complete & accurate pre-approvals for borrowers, quick responses to customers and Realtors, directing phone calls and greeting customers. She is excited to continue to grow with RMN!

Kaylyn lives in North Liberty with her husband, Aaron, their daughter and their dog, Barkley. Kaylyn and Aaron used RMN as their lender of choice to purchase their first home together. 

When not at work, she enjoys binging whatever show is hot on Netflix, and trying out new and loved local eateries.

Kelly Kent

Kelly joined RMN in April 2017. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and worked at the University for 2 years before starting at RMN.

Kelly handles the behind the scenes: loan funding, payment processing, income and balance sheet items and reporting, & post-closing management.

Kelly lives in North Liberty with her husband, Tyler, and their two boys Hayden & Hudson. They all enjoy time outside, playing ball, biking, vacationing and watching college football – particularity the Iowa Hawkeyes!
